Heritage and Conservation+-

Our experienced teams within Ridge advise and support our clients to help develop, maintain and restore their traditionally constructed and historic buildings.

Our approach begins with a detailed understanding of the history and importance of the Historic Environment. Guiding our clients, we use recognised conservation principles, while developing sensitive proposals which are respectful to the building’s listed status, its setting and environment. We are proud of our success rate in obtaining Listed Building Consent to refurbish and alter traditionally constructed and historic buildings.

We provide Facilities Management and planned preventative maintenance advice and can procure these contracts on behalf of our clients. Our Mechanical and Electrical facilities maintenance teams can provide specific compliance audits and undertake rectification specifications, procurement and contract management.

A major consideration when working in historic or listed properties is the availability of existing information. Our teams provide Geospatial surveys, creating 3D models which can be used in the recording, detailing and restoration of any heritage building works.
Specialist 3D Scanning Surveys+-

Using state-of-the-art laser scanning and measuring data services, we’re able to capture intricate details contained within traditionally constructed and historic buildings.

This latest technology enables our people to record high-resolution 3D data sets of buildings, sites and monuments in an accurate and cost-effective manner. The density and quality of the point clouds generated allow the office-based team to effectively describe the surface of a structure in 2D drawing and 3D model formats. These can be tailored to suit our clients’ specific requirements.
