Designing solutions for every sector
Our Fire Safety team brings hands-on experience to a wide range of industries, from high-rise towers and large public buildings to sensitive heritage sites. We work with multi-occupancy buildings, large property portfolios, and bespoke projects in residential, education, science, research, manufacturing, retail, and commercial sectors. Regardless of the challenge, we design tailored solutions that meet the unique needs of your buildings and the people who use them.
We’re committed to delivering excellence
Our team is made up of highly qualified professionals, including Fire Engineers (each holding at least a Fire Engineering degree) and experienced Fire Risk Assessors. This combination of technical expertise and hands-on experience ensures we provide robust, reliable, and tailored solutions to meet your specific needs.
Our in-house Fire Risk Assessment team works under the BAFE SP205 Life Safety Fire Risk Assessment Scheme, certified by the National Security Inspectorate (NSI). This accreditation reflects our dedication to maintaining the highest standards and delivering trustworthy, high-quality service.
We lead the way on building safety
The Building Safety Act 2022 has brought new challenges for building owners, especially when it comes to managing Higher-Risk Buildings (HRBs). Our team has the expertise to help you navigate these complexities, from creating Building Safety Cases to ensuring the continuous maintenance of the ‘Golden Thread’ of information required for safe and effective building management.

Fire strategies are a crucial part of any building project, and we’re here to help you navigate the process with ease.
Our team creates comprehensive fire strategy reports to support statutory approval under the Building Regulations 2010 (as amended). We work closely with your external design teams or as part of wider multidisciplinary teams at Ridge, ensuring our strategies are tailored to meet the specific requirements of your project.
From design to approval, we provide clear and practical guidance to help ensure your building work is compliant, safe, and fit for the future.
Our Fire Risk Assessor team conducts many fire risk assessments each year, helping our clients meet their obligations under Article 9 of the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005.
We deliver these assessments through our British Approvals for Fire Equipment (BAFE) SP205 Life Safety Fire Risk Assessment scheme, certified by the National Security Inspectorate (NSI) and carried out by registered fire risk assessors.
Our lead assessors hold third-party registration with the Institution of Fire Engineers (IFE) and the Fire Risk Assessors Certification Scheme (FRACS). Our standard-grade assessors are registered through the Institute of Fire Safety Managers (IFSM), ensuring a high level of expertise and reliability in every assessment.
Retrospective fire strategies play an essential role in maintaining fire safety across buildings of all types. We work with clients in the public and private sectors to produce clear, detailed fire strategies that document existing fire safety arrangements.
This is often required to comply with Article 11 of the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005, strengthened by Section 156 of the Building Safety Act 2022. Residential property owners, particularly those managing high-rise buildings such as student halls of residence, may rely on our retrospective fire strategy reports to provide the necessary ‘Golden Thread’ of information. This supports their Building Safety Cases in line with the Building Safety Act 2022 and the Management of Safety Risks Regulations 2023.
