With over 37 years of experience in Building Services Engineering, Matt’s deep understanding of the Oxfordshire market makes him a key asset to our ever-expanding offering.
Matt’s journey in the industry began in 1987 as an electrical apprentice in Oxford. He later earned his honours degree from Brighton Polytechnic and achieved Chartership in the early 1990s. His career has been marked by rapid progression, by 37 an Equity Partner at Gifford helping run MEP arm of the Company whilst also serving as Managing Partner for their Oxford office.
In 2011, Matt co-founded QODA Consulting. Under his leadership, QODA grew to employ 114 staff across five offices in Oxfordshire, London, Bristol, Norwich, and Cambridge. Matt’s focus on fostering a “human approach to design and construction” has been a defining feature of his career.
Commenting on his appointment, Matt said, “Having worked with Ridge teams over the years, I was instantly drawn to the culture. Although rapidly growing, Ridge has managed to maintain that personal touch, which is something very special. I’m looking forward to expanding their MEP offering within Oxfordshire.”
At Ridge, Matt would like to focus on the high-quality skills shortage within the discipline by investing in training apprentices and graduates. He is also passionate about placing sustainability at the forefront of our services and working closely with clients to embed sustainable practices in every project.
