A member of the RIBA, and an ARB registered Architect with 25 years’ experience in the design and leadership of multidiscipline design teams delivering world class buildings across many building types and sectors in the UK and internationally. His specific interest is to pursue design excellence in integrated whole-life sustainable buildings and structures.

Paul is a member of the RIBA and ARB, and benefits from over 25 years’ experience delivering highly technical facilities across a variety of sectors, including education, motorsport and advanced manufacturing. He is an exceptional communicator whose strengths lie in team leadership, and interpreting complex requirements to provide clients with solutions which are both creative and functional.

Experienced Chartered Architect with specialist interests in Sustainable Design and Building Conservation.
Matthew is an ARB registered Architect and member of the RIBA, with 12 years’ experience delivering both new build and refurbishment projects across a number of sectors including, Education, Community, Leisure and Heritage. He has specialist expertise in energy efficient and sustainable design, and a real passion for delivering low energy building solutions.
Matthew is currently competing an MSc in Sustainable Building Conservation, to compliment and expand his skillset in delivering projects involving historically significant buildings.

Martyn has a broad range of experience across sectors having worked on multiple large-scale residential and blue light schemes, as well as mixed use, care homes, barn conversions, rural exception sites and one-off houses.
He is deeply aware of the balance between sustainable concept design and onsite buildability and believes that good working relationships are formed on collaboration and are pivotal to the success of any project.

Liz’s expertise lies in understanding complex briefs and identifying client’s needs to deliver highly technical and creative projects. A member of the RIBA and ARB, Liz benefits from over 15 years’ experience developing innovative and functional design.
Liz has worked across nearly all sectors bringing a wealth of experience and strong leadership to all her projects.
She is currently enrolled as an RIBA examiner for architecture chartership.

Chartered RIBA Architect
Alex is a chartered architect with the RIBA and leads the Architecture team based in Bristol. Having trained in the UK he has international experience working in Canada for three years on a number of engineering and design led projects.
An advocate of multidiscipline collaborative design, Alex is focused on creating sustainable and Net Zero Architecture through Building Information Modelling (BIM) to deliver projects with complex requirements and challenging objectives.
He is passionate about the built environment and takes pride in building trusting and cooperative relationships by providing a professional and personal service.
As well as training junior architectural staff within Ridge, Alex is an RIBA Student Mentor with the University of West England and an active RIBA member.
Alex has led several substantial projects in the Industrial and Logistics Sector, Advanced Manufacturing and Automotive sector and is a leader in Green Technologies and R&D projects. He is equally influential and interested in delivering smaller scale projects, such as schools for the Department for Education and Blue Light facilities for the Emergency Services, as well as overseeing a variety of commercial offices, refurbishment, and residential projects.

Paul is a chartered architect and leads our Architecture team based in Manchester.
Paul has previously worked with Ridge in Oxford and Shanghai, successfully leading significant high-profile design projects, managing large teams across a range of sectors specifically Formula 1, R&D and Higher Education. Paul’s specialism is leading on challenging briefs, often with complex requirements and where design led architecture and interior projects require intensive multidisciplinary collaboration.

With 30+ years of experience within the construction industry, particularly within the residential and education sectors, Mike’s focus is on developing Ridge’s presence in the later living and purpose-built student accommodation developments.
With strong communication skills and hands-on technical proficiency, Mike understands the whole development life cycle, from site identification, feasibility, planning and funding to construction and handover.
He has successfully managed complex stakeholder engagement programmes as well as large and nuanced planning strategies, with extensive experience of liaison with local authorities.
Mike joined Ridge in early 2024 as a Partner at its Winchester office with a remit to build and manage its Architecture team and to establish a portfolio of clients and projects across the South of England. He previously worked as Head of Design at Lifestory and, before that, as Director at Architecture PLB.

Leading our Architecture team in the Midlands region, Ross is a Chartered Architect who enjoys working closely with clients to understand their needs and aspirations. His attention to detail and technical expertise have ensured the successful delivery of several high-profile, and complex projects.
Specialising in the design of public transport infrastructure including railway stations, maintenance depots, interchanges, and welfare units, Ross has broad experience across a range of sectors and project types including pioneering advanced manufacturing (battery technology) facilities and both primary and secondary schools.
Ross brings a collaborative and proactive approach to all projects delivered from our multidiscipline design environment.

Jon oversees the delivery of our Defence and Security projects across our architecture teams at Ridge. He has a breadth of experience on complex UK and International projects for both private and public sector organisations, meaning he holds a diverse portfolio. Jon supports our clients to establish the design brief and knows how to integrate the relevant design standards while pushing opportunities to create innovative solutions. Jon is experienced in the Lead Designer role on projects across a range of sectors and values, as well as at all RIBA work stages with both traditional and D&B contracts. Jon is a member of RIBA & the ARB and is a qualified as a Passive House Designer.

Alice leads our Schools Sector, an Architect passionate about Education, working in the construction industry for over 22 years, with the last 17 in Education. Designing and delivering many medium to large scale schools and Further Education facilities, both mainstream and SEND.
She has a strong ability to process and interpret complex project issues and is highly skilled in managing the stakeholder engagement process and naturally leads multi-disciplinary design teams.
Alice was selected to be part of the Education Estates leaders’ network which is a community of experts who are passionate about delivering effective and inspiring environments for young people to thrive and achieve their full potential.
She is also a Technical Advisor for a wide range of education facilities. This includes assessing the suitability of proposed sites on behalf of client such as the Department for Education, providing technical support throughout the various work stages, demonstrating a deep understanding of their requirements.
