Lara is also qualified in accessibility and inclusive design.

Terry has 13 years’ senior surveying experience and 12 years’ prior experience of senior network and best practice engineering management in the media & telecoms sector.
He is an expert in project and contract management, party wall and dilapidations advice, and pre-acquisition, feasibility and technical due diligence assessments. He also has extensive knowledge and more recent project focus in the education sector.
Previously, Terry specialised in the design and implementation of media and data traffic over RF telecommications networks.

Matt has over 18 years’ experience in property and construction, specialising in Building Surveying and Project Management, working with a broad range of clients including occupiers, funds and investors.
He has a wealth of experience across commercial, private, healthcare, industrial, retail, residential, insurance, leisure, housing association, government and education sectors and is considered a specialist within his field.
Matt is a Chartered Building Surveyor and Chartered Construction Manager with memberships of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) and the Chartered Institute of Building (CIOB) respectively.
Matt heads up one of the three Building Surveying teams in the London office and has a keen interest in the continued development and training of junior surveyors, providing Counsellor and Supervisor support to internal and external APC graduates.

He has worked on projects with values ranging from £50,000 to £15 million and has provided technical advice on a range of acquisitions and dilapidations claims. Keith has extensive experience advising on party wall and neighbourly matters.
Keith provides building surveying advice across: contract administration and project management; technical due diligence and acquisition advice; design and feasibility matters; condition and defect surveys; insurance claims; and party wall matters. He has vast experience in public sector housing, offices, data centres, leisure, hotels, care homes and education.

Dan has been at Ridge since 2013 where he started as an Architectural Technician for Building Surveying. Capturing survey data as part of his day-to-day responsibilities using traditional techniques it was clear that after a couple of years there was the opportunity to develop and expand his expertise by learning how to use Laser Scanning equipment as the latest technology to capture survey data.
Over the following years this technology and service offering grew where Dan was able to build his own team of surveyors utilising this technology alongside robotic total stations and GNSS receivers. Dan has been pivotal in the expansion of this team into a new expertise which now sees teams situated in London, Oxford, Birmingham and Leeds. We offer measured building surveys, Scan to BIM, topographical surveys and much more with further plans to expand the service offering over the coming years.

Chris has extensive experience in all areas of Health and Safety, as well as Construction processes from Safety Auditing to Airport terminal design and Construction.
Chris has gained his experience via involvement in a wide variety of projects across the leisure, education, residential, commercial and logistics sectors. His career in the Royal Navy gave him experience in military operational health and safety.
Chris has a proven history of developing unique and client specific, local computer and internet-based health and safety management systems, including the installation of a computer based contractor vetting system for a major UK leisure provider. This is in addition to an Internet based health and safety management system for a medium sized power generation company.

Andrew is a Partner in our London office and is Chartered Building Surveyor (FRICS). He is a Freeman of the City of London ; Alumni of King’s College London (Masters in Construction Law & Arbitration), a qualified Expert Witness and an NEC PM.
Andrew has in excess of 30 years of building surveying experience. Advising a wide range of blue chip and public sector clients on a variety of construction types, property periods and sectors. Sector specialisms include retail, commercial, residential, defence, custodial, portfolio and heritage.
Andrew also benefits from Executive Coaching at both Cranfield and Nottingham University Business Schools via their residential programmes. He has successfully appeared as an Expert Witness in the High Court ( a Top 10 reported property case of 2022). Andrew has senior management experience, having worked at Partner and Director level for several of the top tier practices over his career.
When not working in his BBC featured garden his home life is centred on both his labradors and family, often involving a long country walk to the pub.

A qualified thermographer and drone operator, Mike specialises in reality capture and enabling digital transformation in the built environment sector. His expertise spans social housing stock energy efficiency assessments, university campus digitisation, and the development of Automated Drone Infrastructure.
At Ridge, Mike focuses on leveraging his experience in reality capture and digital transformation to enhance surveying capabilities. His priority is implementing scalable technological solutions that improve efficiency while maintaining high-quality standards in surveying processes.
Mike is actively involved in several UKRI funded Future Flight Challenges, focusing on advancing UK drone regulations, particularly in Beyond Visual Line of Sight (BVLoS) operations. His passion for implementing innovative technological solutions aligns with Ridge’s forward-thinking approach to digital transformation in the built environment sector.

Paul Heron has joined Ridge as Head of the Newcastle office, leading the firm’s strategic expansion across the North East. A Chartered Building Surveyor with over 25 years of experience, Paul brings extensive expertise in the delivery of capital works programmes within the public sector, with a particular focus on healthcare, education, and emergency services. Prior to joining Ridge, he served as Senior Director at Gleeds.
Throughout his career, Paul has demonstrated a strong commitment to building high-performing teams and fostering professional development—areas he regards as the most fulfilling aspects of his work. His appointment represents a significant step in Ridge’s ongoing national growth and reinforces the firm’s ambitions within the region.

Paul leads our PFI and PPP Strategic Advice offer, helping clients navigate the complexity of PFI and PPP infrastructure projects. He brings more than 25 years of experience from Grant Thornton, where he advised both public and private sectors on all stages of these projects from the initial business cases and procurement through to operational support and expiry. He also advised on new hospitals with a focus on strategic case for change, business cases, affordability and value for money.
Paul’s role at Ridge is to strengthen and grow our capability around PFI and PPP, drawing together existing expertise across the business and building a specialist team. His approach is grounded in pre-empting issues before they escalate and giving clear, actionable advice – particularly where data and relationship management are critical to success.

Nick is a highly respected leader with over 30 years’ experience in the construction industry, delivering professional and project services across both public and private sectors. His expertise spans building surveying, party wall matters, dilapidations, and expert witness work.
Graduating from South Bank University in 1996, Nick became a Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors in 1999. He is also a Chartered Building Engineer and an accredited Expert Witness under the Cardiff University scheme. Nick holds memberships with the Pyramus and Thisbe Club and the Dilapidations Association, reflecting his deep knowledge of party wall legislation and landlord-tenant issues.
Nick is committed to safety and operational excellence, holding Level 1 Working at Height and Rescue Plan training. He plays a key role in shaping strategic direction as part of the Ridge LPS Strategy Group.
