Our mid-year promotions cycle saw four new equity partners appointed to the leadership team to support continued client demand and business growth. This significant milestone reflects the new partners' exceptional contributions, dedication to excellence, and commitment to the business’s success.

The appointments are part of the 2024 mid-year promotions, where a total of 43 people have been promoted across all career levels at Ridge, as well as our wide range of expertise and professional disciplines. This takes the total number of Equity Partners to 34.

Adrian O’Hickey, Senior Partner at Ridge, said: “We are incredibly proud to welcome Leonard, Mark, Liz and Nathan as Equity Partners. Their promotions are a testament to their hard work, dedication, and the significant impact they have made here at Ridge.

Meet our newly appointed partners:

Leonard Poon is a Chartered Quantity Surveyor with 18 years’ experience including cost management, cost planning, procurement, developing business cases and project management. He manages a range of public and private sector projects, including healthcare, housing, hotels, leisure and education.

He said: “Becoming an Equity Partner at Ridge, is a true career highlight, but also speaks volumes about the hard work, dedication, and support of my outstanding team and mentors. As I step into this new role, I am fully committed to creating an environment of innovation, collaboration and excellence. My vision is to drive strategic growth, strengthen client relationships, and mentor the future leaders of our business. Together, we will further advance Ridge’s legacy of delivering exceptional value and service to our clients with unwavering determination.”

Mark Astbury is a Chartered Surveyor (FRICS) and Chartered Institute of Housing (CIHCM) with over 25 years’ experience. Mark is experienced in asset management, property consultancy, business recovery, distressed development, options and development appraisals, viability modelling, program and project management, project delivery and business planning. He also offers expertise in developing policies, management plans, processes and procedures

He said: “I have worked at Ridge for over 16 years and have been part of its growth and diversification as a built environment consultancy. As Equity Partner, I look forward to working with my excellent team to further grow and develop the Property Consultancy expertise, helping our affordable housing clients make a real difference to their tenant’s quality of life, homes and communities.”

Liz Sparrow is a Chartered Architect with 15 years’ experience. Liz’s expertise lies in understanding complex briefs and identifying client’s needs to deliver highly technical and creative projects. She has worked across nearly all sectors bringing a wealth of experience and strong leadership to all her projects.

She said: “This promotion means a great deal to me, and I am excited about the opportunities that lie ahead. I’ve had the pleasure of seeing my discipline grow from one table of architects to a top 40 AJ100 practice in its own right, and been lucky enough to share this with many talented and committed colleagues across the business.”

Nathan Moss has over 27 years of property and construction expertise and leads our project management team in Bristol. His vast experience spans most sectors, including research, design and development, high-tech, commercial end user, commercial developer, health, education, central and local government, and defence. He is a member of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) and Association for Project Management (APM) and is a committee member for the Forum for the Built Environment (FBE).

He said: “I’m honoured to have the opportunity to step into the role of Equity Partner at Ridge. As I embark on this journey, my focus will be on supporting Ridge and its Bristol office by prioritising our people and clients, fostering collaboration, and upholding our commitment to quality and our core values. This is an exciting time for Ridge and I’m proud to be able to play may part in reaching new heights and prosperity for our business and its stakeholders.”
