Murray Farrant, a highly respected partner in our London office, has recently announced his retirement. After an outstanding career with Ridge that spans more than two decades, Murray’s departure marks the end of an era and the beginning of a new chapter in his life.

Murray joined Ridge in July 1999 as a Building Surveying Associate in our London office on New Bond Street. Throughout his tenure, he played an instrumental role in the office’s growth and success.

Under his leadership, the London office expanded significantly, and his vision allowed us to develop Building Surveying as a core service. Murray’s dedication and guidance have helped shape the office, which now comprises 130 talented individuals, including 25 Building Surveyors.

His notable successes in securing our position on large local authority frameworks have been a key driver in the growth of our Building Surveying discipline. Murray’s business acumen and versatility have made him a respected figure across London.

Murray has also been a mentor to many of our colleagues, offering thoughtful solutions and guidance. Outside of work, he has been actively involved in charitable initiatives and supporting his children’s activities. We are confident that his retirement will allow him to further pursue his passions and make a positive impact in new ways.
