Ridge was appointed to carry out the roles of BREEAM Assessor and BREEAM Accredited Professional, alongside our RIBA Stage 4 Life Cycle Assessment and Life Cycle Costing work.
This is a 60-bed Intermediate Care Unit next to Salford Royal Hospital that houses patients before they return home.
Sanitary fittings with low flow rates reduced water consumption, and the design embraced alternative building elements to lower the overall carbon impact of the development.
The project was assessed under BREEAM UK New Construction 2018, Healthcare and achieved a rating of ‘Very Good’.
