This new build primary school in north-west London features Net Zero Carbon in operation, through the Department for Education Construction Framework.
The school needed to be in line with 2080 climate conditions, that projects much higher temperatures year-round.
This called for a careful balancing of overheating with thermal performance, and energy efficiency. We introduced an innovative passive cooling strategy that uses Phase Change Materials, providing cooling in the summer and improved heating efficiency and cost effectiveness in the winter.
