Ridge has developed a positive and proactive working relationship with the University of Oxford Estates Services and many teams of associated stakeholders. Over a period of eight years, our multidisciplinary teams have played an instrumental role in 40+ projects for the Medical Sciences (MSD) and Mathematical, Physical & Life Sciences (MPLS) Divisions.

Some of the services we have delivered include Project Management, Building Services and Structural Engineering, Cost Management, Geospatial Services and Building Surveying. Our teams have assisted the University on a wide variety of projects up to a value of £2m that range from delivering concepts and feasibility studies through to practical completion of complex laboratories in existing surroundings.

The work we carry out for the University involves retrofitting older buildings to deliver workable, active scientific spaces. The age of the locations has exposed many challenges such as needing complex MEP designs to provide adequate ventilation solutions. We regularly overcome planning challenges as the Science Park buildings are surrounded by the central Conservation Area.
