THE ASPIRATION
Delivering high-performance infrastructure in a prime location
CyrusOne required a new data centre development to meet growing demand for secure, high-capacity digital infrastructure. The brief was to create over 10,000 square metres of cutting-edge technical space, including high-performance data halls and supporting infrastructure. Located on a 2.5-acre site within a modern multi-let industrial estate in Slough—a key UK data corridor—the development needed to balance speed, resilience and precision while integrating seamlessly into a dense, operational business environment.
OUR RESPONSE
Project management with precision and oversight
We were appointed as Project Managers to oversee the delivery of this advanced facility. Our brief included managing the internal shell and core fit out, alongside the integration of complex mechanical, electrical, civil, structural and architectural systems to support an 18MW IT load.
Our team coordinated all project elements, from technical installations to the additional fit out of dedicated office space. Working within the framework of the FIDIC Design and Build Contract (2017 Edition), we ensured clear communication and accountability between the developer, contractor and key stakeholders.
Challenges included maintaining tight control of programme and quality within a live commercial estate and responding swiftly to any emerging issues on site. By applying structured reporting, clear sequencing and robust risk and change management, we kept the delivery firmly on course.

Technical excellence, delivered
The project unlocked 10,350 square metres of world-class technical space designed for resilience and efficiency. The facility meets the demands of modern data infrastructure and integrates all critical systems to support long-term performance. Office space has also been successfully delivered to support on-site operations.
