Ridge provided Civil Engineering services for a significant refurbishment of this Health and Social Care Centre providing 80 bedrooms and 24-hour care for elderly patients for Sandwell Metropolitan Borough Council.
The project required energy-efficient buildings and facilities including a physiotherapy room, kitchen, treatment rooms, hairdressing salon and communal lounges.
Our team provided highway and drainage works, while our building design adopted principles of the energy hierarchy, including reducing energy, making it more efficient and using renewables where possible. This resulted in the centre receiving an Energy Performance ‘A’ Rating.
