Transforming healthcare estates through strategic coordination
An NHS Trust needed strategic support to manage a complex portfolio of healthcare projects across multiple hospital sites. Each project had different clinical priorities – from critical care and emergency departments to modular aseptic units – so a consistent approach to design, compliance and delivery was essential. The goal was to optimise space, improve efficiency and ensure all developments aligned with wider clinical and estate strategies. Achieving this required clear governance, strong stakeholder engagement and a deep understanding of how healthcare environments function.

OUR RESPONSE
Integrated delivery across disciplines and sites
We have provided Project Management, Healthcare Planning, Principal Designer, Geotechnical, Structural Engineering and Transport Planning services. From feasibility to masterplanning, we’ve led clinical brief development, stakeholder workshops and detailed design coordination. Our team has supported multiple schemes, including a new Intensive Care Unit, a modular aseptic suite and an Emergency Department extension.

We’ve overcome complex spatial, regulatory and operational challenges, such as keeping clinical areas live during refurbishment and balancing future capacity with current service pressures. By coordinating input from multiple disciplines, we have delivered safe, compliant and patient-focused solutions.
