Ridge has extensive experience working with a range of academies and colleges in helping them secure Condition Improvement Funding for their estates. We also provide a full range of construction consultancy services to establish estate improvement strategies, along with successful delivery management of associated buildings and site improvement projects.
Wilson Stuart Academy provides education for pupils aged 2 to 19 with physical disabilities or complex and profound medical needs.
Ridge has provided fund assistance and management over the last four years to help Wilson Stuart Academy weathertight their buildings, improve their safeguarding, rationalise and expand their key educational spaces, and improve the function and environment in which they operate.
Ridge initially conducted a combined process of specialist investigations, client consultation/workshops, and statutory considerations. The aim was to develop proposals that not only delivered the condition improvements and space expansion required within the funding available, but also optimised layouts to provide integration of specialist education and NHS functions. Everything was delivered to a practical programme that minimised operational disruption within the constraints of the school’s timetable.
