THE ASPIRATION
Creating the home of performance
Aston Martin F1 set out to create a state-of-the-art campus on a 32-acre site at Silverstone, a headquarters worthy of their Formula 1 ambitions. The vision was to unite all team operations under one roof, integrating design, manufacturing, R&D and driver development in a single, connected environment. The new campus needed to embody innovation and precision, with facilities that could attract top talent, support rapid technological change and help deliver world championship performance.
OUR RESPONSE
Engineering a new era for Aston Martin
We provided full multidisciplinary services, leading stakeholder engagement and design coordination across the three-phase development: the headquarters, the wind tunnel and the staff amenities hub.
An inside-out design approach placed operational process at the heart of every building, carefully positioning spaces to reduce movement, accelerate development cycles and support a high-performance culture. We worked with more than 15 specialist departments, turning highly technical requirements into layouts that prioritised communication, rapid decision-making and efficient manufacturing and engineering workflows.
Design and construction were delivered at remarkable speed – with Building 1 completed in just 18 months – while full operations continued on a live site.
Our team managed the complex interfaces between two contractors and multiple suppliers, sequencing works to integrate the wind tunnel installation and the bridge linked buildings. The project was delivered on time and within budget, despite pandemic challenges and the fast moving F1 environment.
THE RESULT
A connected, world-class campus
The campus now brings together over 800 staff across three interconnected buildings, uniting design, engineering and driver performance within one cohesive masterplan. The headquarters and manufacturing spaces are arranged around a central “street” that encourages constant collaboration, visibility and fast-paced technical exchange between disciplines. The campus is engineered to operate as a single, integrated system, enabling people to move faster, communicate more easily and perform at the highest level.
THE LASTING IMPACT
Built for change, built for champions
The campus marks the first purpose-built F1 headquarters in over 25 years. Our integrated approach futureproofs the facilities for Aston Martin’s evolving technologies and ambitions, supporting their drive toward championship success. Beyond its technical capability, the campus sets a new benchmark for collaboration, adaptability and excellence in Formula 1 design. Our ongoing appointment to deliver a fourth building demonstrates the long-term value of this approach and our continued role in supporting Aston Martin’s performance journey.
