Stock Condition Surveys and Asset Management.

Sovereign is a leading registered provider of social housing, with 58,000 homes focused in a core area covering Berkshire, Hampshire, Oxfordshire, Gloucestershire, Dorset, Devon, Wiltshire, the West of England and the Isle of Wight.

Ridge was initially appointed in 2005 to deliver stock condition surveys. Since that time, Sovereign has also employed a range of other Ridge consultancy services via a framework agreement.

Ridge carried out stock condition surveys to over 10,000 homes and continues to undertake annual inspections to maintain the quality of the data held in the database, Keystone.

Ridge provides specialist building surveying, fire safety and structural engineering in the review and assessment of high-rise residential buildings, in support of MHCLG requirements and advice notes.

Working closely with the client, Ridge has developed the survey and data collection methodology. For example, we undertook an expansion of the survey from design to cover innovative sustainable elements, such as rainwater harvesting and air source heat pumps.
